Catherine Miller was a non comm. She is one I put forward and was accepted by MOD a year ago. She died at the 1st Western General Hospital, Fazakerley, Liverpool having contracted Malaria whilst nursing overseas in 1917 with Elsie Inglis (Scottish Women’s Hospitals).

Some research on these two ladies was done a little while ago by Jim Grant (kinnethmont) as possible non-comms and Richardson came up again more recently on the RAF Association Memorial in Dumfries.

It kind of raises the point that this thread could do with some organisation.
Trying to find if someone has already been dealt with is not easy.
I don't know how it might be sorted but I've given up refering to it.

This tread is a general list of names on war memorials.

As far as being potential CWGC non comms is concerned in both cases nothing can happen without the help of their immediate NOK in sourcing their service records. There is a cost.
They would confirm the reason and date of discharge. If a medical condition, it might be totally unrelated to the cause of their deaths. WW2 non comms are rare, but they can happen.
