I think this might be the John Morrison on this memorial:
2 November 1918 Falkirk Herald
Mr Alex Morrison, gardener, Inch Cottage, Grangemouth has been notified that his eldest son Private John Morrison A&SH was killed in action in France last week. He was 25 years of age, by occupation a gardener in Stirling where his young widow and infant daughter reside. In the Army for four years he had been three times wounded.
His name also appears on the Stirling War Memorial/Roll of Honour (living at 22 Barn Road, Stirling). He was married to Mary Stewart, whose brother Duncan Stewart was killed on 6th August 1918.
