I found he was not on CWGC, hence my interest in him. I found the records but wondered if you have anything else.
Am looking into him.
Rapp is not on SDGW because he died at Home in 1919. _________________ Jim

I have no doubt that Isaac Rosenberg would qualify as war dead if it could have been proven that his death was linked to TB on discharge, a respiratory complaint or malaria.
Sadly, there is nothing remaining in his file to help us. _________________ Jim

Hello Jim,
I must have been typing up the info when you posted.
I don't know anything about evidence needed for CWGC.
However, Isaac's record evidences Silver Badge 25/02/1919 and the fact that he had malaria. His death cert. shows TB, only three months between discharge date and death. Would all that information combined not be taken into consideration?

I have access to his records. None of the family / Census info you give helps. What I need is a proven link between the cause of his death and his discharge from the army. They are two different ailments ie. Malaria and TB. Had the certifying doctor written " six months " after the cause of death it would have helped.
The DC is actually wrong. Having been discharged three months earlier he was no longer a Pte. R.F.A. but had his number been recorded that too would have helped.
Am checking further. _________________ Jim

I can now confirm that I have put together a case for Isaac Rosenberg and this is being forwarded to MOD / CWGC for consideration. It has pased the initials checks, is now in the system and have no doubt that it will suceed. I am currently trying to locate his grave.
Thanks for highlighting his situation and drawing it to my attention.
Well done in finding him.
I have created a thread on the CWGC non-comms section for him.
If you want to send me an e-mail to the address from my signature I can update you in due course. _________________ Jim

Hello,
A thought! Wondering if this memorial could be moved to the Edinburgh section instead of being in Queries and Requests?
