Not listed on UKNIWM
Location inside Canongate Church, Edinburgh at OS Map Ref NT 264 738.
This memorial is a chapel within the church and commemorates 'local people'. As it is not expressly for parishioners or members of the church and there is no other WW2 civic memorial for Canongate, I have posted it in the civic section although I have to admit that it has much more the appearance of a church memorial.
This is a bit of a failure to me and it will certainly need a return visit by someone to take better photos and probably take down details of the inscription and names which are extremely difficult to photograph if the sun is shining because of the shadows. The inscription (no details) is around the outside of the upper rail and the names are on a double row around the inside of the rail.
Sorry that I was so pushed for time (the church was closing and setting up for a recital of some kind).
