The man listed as

MOORE, George A. W.

is also listed on the war memorial in the Old Parish Church, Lenzie as Andrew G. Moore, 1st Canadian Contingent.

This man's CEF attestation papers confirm he was the same man in the Kirkintilloch Herald article below

MOORE, GEORGE WASHINGTON
Rank: Private
Service No: 19898
Date of Death:25/04/1915
Age:27
Regiment/Service: Canadian Infantry 10th Bn.
Grave Reference: II. K. 3.
Cemetery: POPERINGHE OLD MILITARY CEMETERY
Additional Information: Son of William Alexander Moore. Born in Scotland.

Kirkintilloch Herald Wednesday 26 May 1915
PRIVATE A. G. MOORE
Mr & Mrs Moore, Woodilee Cottages, Lenzie, received on Thursday night official notice per telegram that their eldest son Andrew George, had died of wounds received in action. A previous notification was so vague in its wording that the young man's parents were quite unprepared for the sudden blow. Private Moore was in the 10th Battalion of the Canadian Contingent. He was born and brought up on the Woodilee estate
