Kirkintilloch Herald Wednesday 26 May 1915
PRIVATE A. G. MOORE
Mr & Mrs Moore, Woodilee Cottages, Lenzie, received on Thursday night official notice per telegram that their eldest son Andrew George, had died of wounds received in action. A previous notification was so vague in its wording that the young man's parents were quite unprepared for the sudden blow. Private Moore was in the 10th Battalion of the Canadian Contingent. He was born and brought up on the Woodilee estate
