Gordon Highlanders b Alloa,Clackmannan 15 Aug 1882 e Glasgow Age 37 Killed in Action West-Vlaanderen, Belgium 26/10/1917 son of the late Henry & Jane (nee Mclaughlan) Dempster. Husband of the late Isabella Dempster. Short Service says Dempster or Fletcher. Short Service : 18 Pages. Occ: Labourer. Age given as 30. Formerly S/8284 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. 1901 Census: Old High St; Alloa staying with Mother Jane. Occ: Brewery Worker. Tyne Cot Memorial M. R. 30 Panel 135 to 136 _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire.
