Gordon Highlanders b Alloa,Clackmannan 15 Aug 1882 e Glasgow Age 37 Killed in Action West-Vlaanderen, Belgium 26/10/1917 son of the late Henry & Jane (nee Mclaughlan) Dempster. Husband of the late Isabella Dempster. Short Service says Dempster or Fletcher. Short Service : 18 Pages. Occ: Labourer. Age given as 30. Formerly S/8284 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. 1901 Census: Old High St; Alloa staying with Mother Jane. Occ: Brewery Worker. Tyne Cot Memorial M. R. 30 Panel 135 to 136

The name James Ferris appears on the first of the memorials. He may be the man recently identified by CWGC whose grave was rededicated: https://www.cwgc.org/our-work/news/graves-of-two-glasgow-soldiers-identified-in-belgium/
