There are no records of an Edward Tiernan on the CWGC site and there has only been one Edward Tiernan who has died in Scotland in the last 100 years. This person died in October 1942 and although there is no reference to a link with the armed forces, his usual residence was East Kilbride. It may be possible that due to his medical condition, he was discharged from the armed forces prior to his death. |

John
I am sorry for having to reply through the forum as I have been blocked, for some reason, from sending you a PM. I am also aware of a number of people who had served in the RAF and had left the service due to ill health. On their death certificates, there is no mention of them having been RAF because, obviously, by that time they were civilians.

Sorry for having to use this thread but I am not allowed to send a PM to you for some reason. I have not researched anyone in EK although if I stagger through to retirement, it is on my to do list along with a hundred other items.
