These war memorials will have been moved from their original Portree school buildings to the 1960s concrete Portee High School and when I visited the school during 2007 the school was to move to a new school /public library complex nearby . The war memorials for the Great War , WW2 and Korean Campaign were located in the entrance area to the High School .
Ive not been to see where they are located in the new Portee High School/ Portree library building but they should be placed similarly .
Pte A M Annan was the casualty from the Korean Campaign and his name is listed on the town's war memorial in Portree .
