I was looking at a recent posting on the Larkhall thread when I noticed that the WW1 name are "men of Larkhall" whereas the WW2 names are for Dalserf Parish.

But Dalserf Parish seems to have its own Memorial (in Ashgill) naming those who died in both Wars.

Anyone know the story?

I think it is because Dalserf is the name of the parish which contains the communities of Larkhall, Ashgill and Dalserf.

I'm sure you are correct Adam. I was just curious as to why "Dalserf Parish" was used for the WW2 section of the Larkhall Memorial.
I have seen cases where the WW2 deaths have been "concentrated" on one memorial, leaving the others with only WW1 deaths but, as far as I can see, all of those named on the WW2 section of the Dalserf Memorial are also listed on the Memorial in Larkhall.
