Buchanan was awarded the M.M. in June 1916 as 2576.
Will forward details.

CWGC have the correct number 290671.
Awards mssing off memorials is not unusual. It is the case with my local one where all are recorded equally regardress of rank or decoration

James Docherty was awarded the MM in September 1916. He was awarded the DCM to following month.

8566 Sjt. J. Docherty, R. Highrs.
For conspicuous gallantry in action. On two occasions, after his officer had been wounded, he led his platoon with great bravery and skill, gaining the objective.
His devotion to duty and fine example have been very marked.

Will forward info to CWGC.

Many thanks for that Jim, good work.
I looked and looked but just couldn't find them! I submitted a further 3 to Terry that I did find references for however.

It' a pity that the awards are missing from CWGC memorials and gravestones as well.

Let's see how many more I can find tonight hmmm?

Cheers,
Derek.

Derek
CWGC could only use the details they were given by the military or NOK. It appears NOK were involved in verifying details for Glasgow and Docherty, but they have not advised the award either.

It should have been given to CWGC, but NOK had the opportunity to advise of the MM award if the info was missing from the details they verified. Brighton and Caskie's NOK have verified their details and not pointed it out

Will check them later today.
