I managed to get these copies from the daybooks of the monumental masons Messrs. Scott Rae of Glasgow a few years ago which list all of their war memorial projects. They only give a few basic details but it might be of use.

Fascinating - a few of my favourite local ones here and importantly it gives the date of erection so a good start towards finding any local newspaper articles etc. I think UKNIWM should have a copy of this - have you thought of sending it to them?

It's maybe worth going through this list to see if there is a Scott Rae style. Here's a few to start.
Kirkmaiden, D&G - Red rustic cross
Dalserf, Lanarks - Creetown Obelisk
Image not on forum?
Aberuthven, Perth. - Red carved cross
Borgue, D&G - Creetown cross
Kirkconnel, D&G - Figure & pedestal
Holytown, Lanarks - Figure & pedestal
I've jumped ahead with Holytown but there was an image of it in the Kirkconnel thread.

I have sent the daybook scans to UKNIWM for their records. I hope that was OK?
