This Roll of Honour was recently discovered in a cupboard in the hotel, which is located on Princes Street. It was rather worse for wear but has been restored thanks to the Scottish Government war memorial restoration fund.
It will be on display within the hotel but was displayed at the Scottish Government building during a reception to mark the halfway point of the centenary restoration fund which was hosted by Alex Salmond. As I was in attendance I was able to get some photographs.

I wonder if some of these men served in the French or Italian armies? Perhaps Ernest Aldebert, Arthur Bullion, Henry Grunenwald, Albert Housman or Jules Trocchi returned home to join up?
