FREDERICK S. FALES was a British Motor Tanker built in 1939 and of 10,525 tons. She was owned by Standard Fruit & Steamship Corp. Oriental Tankers Ltd. On the 22nd September 1940 when on route from Curacao for Clyde in Convoy HX-72 carrying a cargo of 13,849 tons admiralty fuel oil she was torpedoed by German submarine U-100 and sunk. 20 crew lost from a total crew of 48.
