Tom had served in the Black Watch in the Great War and I think he was a Tax Inspector in Arbroath . He was a great Royal British Legion (Scotland ) official and was for a time National Chairman of the organisation . He worked along side Brigadier James A Oliver ( Black Watch of WW2 ) (my godfather ) during these 1960s days when I worked in the legal office . Mr Tom Mathieson worked in my office in Clark Oliver Dewar & Webster in Arbroath . He was a very well liked gentleman in Arbroath and around the Royal British Legion (Scotland ) . [ Think then the Royal British Legion (Scotland ) had brakets around the word Scotland ! ]
