St Columba’s High School Dunfermline
Expecting Excellence
RE-DEDICATION CEREMONY
St Columba’s High School was recently contacted by the great-granddaughter of one of their former pupils who fought and died in the Second World War.
She had remembered that two plaques – commemorating all of St Columba’s former pupils who had served and died during the Second World War – had been dedicated in the old St Columba’s in 1948. She asked to see the plaques in the new school.
After a search, the plaques were found and will be re-dedicated in St Columba’s at a ceremony to be held in the Assembly Hall at 2.30pm on Friday 8th November 2013. The names of those mentioned on the plaques are shown below.
