Glen Ainsworth was born in Stockton-on-Tees in 1889. At the age of 18 she enterred the Sick Children's Hospital in Bradford. At the outbreak of War she volunteered for service overseas and saw two years' service in Malta before returning to Plymouth. When the Royal Navy took over Peebles Hydropathic she was transferred there. She succumbed to the Spanish flu epidemic with two other colleagues. |
