Peter Walker is listed on the Killin war memorial. He was serving in the Machine Gun Corps when he was killed in action on the 12th June 1918.
He's one of the Lloyds Banking Group casualties - he worked for the Union Bank of Scotland.
I've not got much information on him and was hoping someone might have some further information to help me flesh out his story a little.
I should add I have already checked Soldiers Effects, Medal Index Card, Medal Roll, Soldiers Died, CWGC. I've also looked on the British Newspaper Archive, but it's a fairly common name and nothing much came up.
Any bit of information, no matter how small, might be helpful.
Thanks in advance. |
