The Morayshire RoH gives these details
McDonald, Alexander
Pte 1871 1/6th Seaforths; born 6, Moycroft, Elgin, 27th Sept 1893; joined at Elgin 14th Sept 1914; served France; buried for three days, resulting in crushed body, discharge following. Son of James and Elizabeth McDonald, 6 Moycroft, Elgin. Occupation, railway fireman |

I remember reading the entry from the Morayshire RoH. McDonald was discharged with phthisis and died from same which was aggravated by active service. There was nothing in his surviving papers to suggest he had been buried in the trenches, although that may have happened. |
