I'm struggling a wee bit trying to de-cypher the place of death (?? Dressing Station) and what the details of his legatees are.
Wife - Mary Montgomery Don, Mother Catherine Don, elder sister Elizabeth presumably the mother (guardian) of his nephew & niece.
George Don, Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, No. 168158.
Born Coatbridge. Resided Blanefield. Enlisted Glasgow. Died of wounds 28th November 1917.
Listed on Strathblane Civic Memorial

Duhallow Advanced Dressing Station, believed to have been named after a southern Irish hunt, was a medical post 1.6 kilometres north of Ypres (now Ieper). The cemetery was begun in July 1917 and in October and November 1918, it was used by the 11th, 36th and 44th Casualty Clearing Stations. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |

I think the place of death is 2 Corps Main Dressing Station.
There's a bit of background at http://www.1914-1918.net/wounded.htm _________________ Ken |
