Agnes C. McDonald is listed on the Airdrie War Memorial but I can't find anyone with that name in either the CWGC or SNWM databases.
Does anyone have any idea who she was?
Thanks

Whilst doing some searching it seems that WW1 civilians were not commemorated in the same way WW2 civilians by the CWGC were, so she may have been involved in the war effort in a civilain capacity rather than being in the services.

Between 1914 and 1924 there is only one death which might fit:
In 1918 Agnes Currie Mcdonald (other name Hawkins) aged 37 died at Possilpark (Ruchill Hospital?) Glasgow. _________________ Ken |

As has been pointed out to me in the past, strictly speaking the WW2 civilian deaths are not 'commemorated' by CWGC but are 'recorded'. I hope I have got that right now.
My local memorial has a female civilian on it who worked for NAAFI and who died of illness. Another I recall was in the Salvation Army so good luck with finding yours!

Thanks Ken, that's maybe a start. Thanks Paul too for the clarification about the WW2 deaths.
Cheers
