Wing Commander John Woodburn Gillan DFC & Bar, AFC Memorial

Wing Commander John Woodburn Gillan DFC & Bar, AFC was the great grand nephew of the man commemorated on the memorial above his, Captain John Woodburn of the 44th Foot who was killed in Afghanistan in 1841 (and listed in another thread on this forum)
Wing Commander Gillan was lost over the English Channel in 1941. Here are his CWGC details
