Due respect to those who work in larger more difficult areas of the country.

Interesting story but why are we directing readers to www.scottishmilitaryresearch.co.uk when the memorials are on the The Scottish War Memorials Project at http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/

I directed them to Scottish Military Research Group because the article mentioned two of our projects; War Memorials and War Graves. The SMRG website contains links to both the Scottish War Memorial Project and the Scottish War Graves Project.

Well done Paul, Ken and Stuart, a fantastic effort. I don't suppose you gents want to move to the other end of the country and start there Wink

It's great to see that recognition in a paper so soon after the Scots magazine article.

Cheers

I passed the Scots Magazine article to the reporter, plus time of the year I guess. Unusually, I did not send any sort of draft or press release, she phoned me.

Fantastic article and good to finally "see" Ken who has been a great help to me in finding some of my lost men.
Keep up the good work, gentlemen.

What and give up the sun-kissed beaches of the South Coast? Cool
I don't think so.

Well done guys!

Ken - you could always come to the sun-kissed, well, maybe not sun-kissed, more like rain-pelted wooly wilds of Stirlingshire!

Yes, the Scottish Riviera, indeed. Love getting back whenever possible.

A big well done to Paul and Ken, and thank you to Paul for including me in the article. Due to living down south, most of my contribution has been in the background, trying to help out identifying soldiers as part of Ken's splendid efforts in researching men named on the local memorials. All round, it has been a good bit of team work.

Stuart

Anne - been there, done that, got the waterproofs. Spent 10 years in Dunblane (which still insists that it is in Perthshire) before being released early for good behaviour (and if you believe that..........)
