I'm researching my extended family and found that Alexander John Duff Pte South African Infantry b 1884 Cullen Age 35 Died Durban 3-3-19
Son of William Raitt Duff & Marjory (nee Ross) Duff.
Died through war service. MI Allenvale. 3-Mar-19.
City Roll of Honour: Served with South African Infantry: 26 Roslin Terr; City & Cullen Memorials.
He is not on CWGC site and finding South African info is hard is there anyone out there who can fill in gaps....

Today I have been given copies of his service.
Regimental Number 3149 it says he died of Malaria incurred by Military service. Does this mean he can be included on CWGC details?

Anne

If you e-mail me his service papers I can have a look at it to see if a case can be made to CWGC / SA Authorities. I may also need to have his Death Certificate.

Anne

It may not been needed, it depends on the other evidence and whether he was serving at his death. Send me what you have, you have my address or use the one from the website link in my signature.
