Would Cameron Highlander maybe it?
Other Scottish troops had glengarry both Lowland and Highland wore glengarry so unsure.
Not Gordons as they were diced. Or Argylls likewise.
1914 Snakie Belt.
Grr no cap badge.....

You can't see his cap badge so I don't think we'll get a regiment from this unit but you can narrow it down by looking at units which didn't wear a diced glengarry.

If he was from Edinburgh I'd suggest the Queen's Edinburgh Rifles, Royal Scots. As a rifle unit they wore plain glengarries rather than the diced ones of the Royal Scots.

They formed two battalions in 1908 - the 4th and 5th Bns, Royal Scots. As with other TF battalions they formed second and third line units in late 1914 and early 1915 - 2/4th, 2/5th, 3/4th and 3/5th and this man may be from one of those battalions?
