Just came across this fascinating story.............

He is the sort of man where we should see memorials turn up, certainly if anyone is visiting Kilarrow Parish Church, Bowmore then they should photograph his artifacts and medals.

A number of service personel who made " home runs " were assisted by Donald Caskie.
His autobiography " The Tartan Pimpernel " is a worth reading.
