The Royal Highland Fusiliers Museum does have a copy of the roll but it is a modern copy and looks like it was produced by the Scottish National War Memorial since it looks just like the rolls they have out in the shrine.
The SNWM rolls have all been digitised so I'm sure it would be easy enough for them to get a new HLI roll printed and presented to the Cathedral.
However given what we've seen elsewhere on the forum, and the amount of work that goes into most rolls of honour, then the originals could have been illuminated and would be impossible to replace.

Are Glasgow City Archives/Mitchell Library a possibility? Or is it still hiding in the Cathedral somewhere? |

Good ideas. I think I will see what David comes back with from the museum and what the War Memorials Trust suggest. Although I am quite happy to ask around, I think we might get a more thorough search if the request came from a regimental source etc.

This roll of honour has now been found, it is in store in the HLI museum!
Full details on the thread quoted above.

It always amazes me when you read a story in a newspaper that a museum or library have recently "discovered" something they didn't even know they had or still had?!
A good result though. Here's hoping the other missing RoH's turn up too.
