James Couper Pte 3693 14th London Regt (London Scottish) born Cullen Age 27 Died Home 20-Apr-19 Son of Donald & Jessie Couper, 16 North Castle St; Cullen. 1901 Census: b 1892. Occ Warehouseman. Discharged 25-5-1916. 16 Images. BA 24-4-19 1/1 & 1-5-19 8/1 Cullen Memorial.
Should he be on CWGC? |

Have you obtained his death certificate to see what the cause of death was? You need to prove a link if his was a medical discharge. _________________ Jim

3693 Pte. James Couper 14th London Scottish has been forwarded as a case to CWGC / MOD as a non comm post discharge death (Phthisis Pulmonaris ).
I have located his grave at Cullen Cemetery ( 83A)

Memorial UNITED KINGDOM BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
Additional Information: Son of Donald and Jessie Couper, of Cullen, Banffshire.
The United Kingdom Book of Remembrance commemorates United Kingdom casualties of the two World Wars who were not formerly recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The men and women remembered here are presently commemorated soleley by their database and register entry. The Commission will continue to investigate the grave location details.
