Has anyone noted the following soldier on any local war memorial or Roll of Honour?
Pte Thomas Jenkins - 1/7th Bn. Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders
No. 2741, later 275671.
Kia 23/4/17
His MIC states that he embarked for France on the 15th December, 1914 so he was an original Territorial of the 1/7th Bn. so would have probably lived in Perthshire/Stirlingshire/Falkirk area.
No family detail listed on CWGC or SNWM.
The wrong Thomas Jenkins is listed on SDGW so that is also a dead end. _________________

The "Scotsman" have him listed as wounded January 1917 and from Falkirk.
Is he listed on any memorials there? _________________

The service return for Private Jenkins 275671 says he was aged 29 at the time of his death in 1917. This would make him aged around 23 years at the time of the 1911 census. There is one Thomas Jenkins aged between 22 and 24, but he was in Midlothian. Widen the age group, and you find one in Falkirk, a lodger aged 26 years, giving his birth place as Glen. There is a suitable birth in 1884 in Falkirk Landward.
Assuming this is the right man, then he was probably aged 32 or 33 at the time of his death rather than age 29 as given on the service return.
