I am quite keen to use old picture postcards of memorials for my research in Perthshire. I have a few and could probably source some others. If anyone has any by chance or spots those relating to my area I would be delighted to have copies.
Does anyone else look out for these?

Hello Mark,
Definitely, I think their invaluable and occassionaly rifle through boxes in The Glesga Barras to see what I can find. If their any use to you I have postcards of Blairgowrie, Dunkeld & Birnam and Kinloch Rannoch and would be happy to email copies.

I occasionally have a look out of curiosity to see what they may have been like pre-WW2 additions.

There was a postcard of Glenbuck memorial in Ayrshire on Ebay recently. The memorial has been moved since the postcard was issued as the village no longer exists. Unfortunately I was outbid and it went for silly money. |

I've seen a few, but not for my area. One I did take a photo of (Balmaclellan) is posted on the thread http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=528&highlight=balmaclellan.
Not possible to date it from the photo as the only thing different is a newer paved area around the base.
I'd pay 3 or 4 quid, but not much more.
