There is Wellington Road, Torry but in the Hayton district it's all military men who are remembered
Alexander Drive
Montgomery Road
Wavell Crescent
Auchinleck Road
Harris Drive
Bradley Terrace
Wingate Place
Dill Place
Gort Road
Ritchie Place
You can find out who they are on the web

Looking closer I found more in Hayton
Dempsey Terrace
Evans Place
Patton Place
Teddar Road
Coningham Road
Kinnaird Place
All have military connections.

In Saturday's Courier there was a piece about a new housing development opened in Kirriemuir.
Two local men who received the Victoria Cross have streets named after them.
From WW1 Private Charles Melvin has "Private Melvin Gardens" named in his honour, from the second world war "Lord Lyell Drive" is for Lord Charles Lyell. |

Thanks to Mrs Aase Goldsmith for the following information.
Lundin Links has a number of streets which have Emsdorf in the name.
Emsdorf being a battle in the 7 years war.
See http://www.britishbattles.com/seven-years/emsdorf.htm
Why, I have still to fathom out! |

'Lancer Terrace' was a street in Coaltown of Wemyss, renamed Main Street a few years ago, but still called by its old name by the locals.
Why 'Lancer Terrace' is still a mystery though! |
