This book " The Book of Remembrance of the John Ker Memorial United Free Church, Edinburgh " comprising a record of the names of all those belonging to the congregation who served in the Great War 1914 -1918 together with lists of the killed , the wounded , and the specially honoured .

John Ker Memorial Church merged with Candlish Church in 1981 to form Polwarth Parish Church. In 1984 the former John Ker Memorial Church in Polwarth Gardens was demolished
