Nope, not that I've heard of anyway.
The unveiling was cancelled due to 'illness' - don't know who was ill and have never heard if there's been anything re-scheduled.

I've just heard this is back on track and the memorial is to be unveiled in Baillieston Library on Saturday 7th February.
I don't know a time though . . . . . .

You could go to that and then make the Jack Alexander talk in the RHF Museum.
Depending on if the times don't clash, though. |

I was holding off posting photos of this as the details on the plaque are incorrect and there is going to be a replacement made in the near future.
The date on the plaque (20th September 2008), was the date for the original unveiling ceremony but unfortunately, the man who had instigated the whole plan (Dougie Hay), fell ill. The ceremony was put 'on hold' but was rescheduled when tragically, the aforementioned man passed away. Members of Mr Hay's family were amongst those in attendance at the ceremony along with pupils from Swinton Primary School (the school Willie Reid had attended and gained the Dux prize) and Bannerman High School.
The new date for the unveiling was Saturday 7th February.
There is also some doubt over William Reid's rank. It seems he was not Flying Officer, but Flight Lieutenant.
Hopefully when the replacement plaque is organised, these details will have been sorted out.
