UKNIWM Ref: 44436
This is the memorial for Kirkmaiden Parish and was originally situated at the old Kirkmaiden Church (also known as Kirk Covenant) at OS Map Ref NX 125 368 but is believed to have been moved in the 1970s to its present position outside the current Kirkmaiden Parish Church (Saint Medan’s) in Drummore at OS Map Ref: NX 134 367 (note that to get to the incorrect Map Ref on UKNIWM requires a boat!).
UKNIWM also has an incorrect second entry for this memorial Ref 5870 which I have asked them to remove.
This parish covers the communities of Drummore and Port Logan
The top inscription is not especially clear in the photos but reads ‘Aut vincere aut mori’ (Either conquer or die).

The former Kirkmaiden UF Church, now St Maden's
And Kirkmaiden Parish Church at the top of the hill above Drummore, the original location of the memorial. It is also known as Kirk Covenant because it was built in 1638, the year of the signing of the National Covenant.
And hopefully a clearer shot of the Latin inscription ‘Aut vincere aut mori’ (Either conquer or die).
