We heard ecently that Jim Grant, known to the forum as kinnethmont, passed away at the end of October, aged 59.
Jim was very active in the non-commemorations thread, and was involved in having a large number of names added to the CWGC Debt of Honour register.
Our condolences to his family and friends. |

I had a lot of email correspondance with Jim over the years.
59 is too young to go.

Wow a shock as I hae communicated over the years with Jim who was always helpful in sharing and researching casualties of war . Yes, 59 is no age nowadays to depart this life !
condolences must go to his family and also for the excellent work Jim did for military research on this site and I am sure others he must hae been involved in over the years in Aberdeeenshire

I'm very late to adding my own message but this is very sad news indeed.
A sad loss to our virtual comunity and a bigger one to his family and friends in Aberdeenshire.
Rest in peace Jim.
