Hi ,could anyone help me.Iam still working away on research of the men on the Dumbarton War Memorial.Something else however has caught my attention and that is the 3 commonwealth graves situated at Dumbarton cemetery.I have been through SCOTLANDS PEOPLE looking for them but no joy. Can anyone help?

Pretty sure it's McKerrarcher.
As buried in Scotland they will have died in the UK or on their way back here for treatment. So if there's no d.c. for a death in Scotland then they likely died in England where a d.c. would have been issued.

Can't help with the first but the death of a Hugh McDermid aged 19 was registered at Thanet, Kent in the July to September Quarter 1918. The death of a Donald McKerracher (note spelling) aged 36 was registered at Richmond, Yorkshire in the April to June Quarter 1918. From FreeBMD _________________ Ken |
