I'm researching this man and wondered which memorial(s) this name might appear.
James Paton Logie 2nd Lt Border Regt attd 1st Gordon Highlanders b Boston, USA? Age 31 Killed In Action F & F 01/10/18 Son of Mary H. Logie, of 198, Brixton Hill, London, and the late John Logie, of Trinidad, British West Indies. CWGC has Born at Moffat, Dumfriesshire. Medal Card has Mother: c/o J Brown Esq. 17 Archibald Pl; Edinburgh. A/cpl S/15246 Gordons. Will Probate Date: 3 Jan 1919. Address: 78 Amesbury Ave; Streatham to Mary Helen Logie, Widow. Ribecourt Railway Cemetery Fr 0359 Row B Grave 4 Libindx has b Boston, USA and these newspaper entries Banffshire Advertiser: BA 31-10-18 4/3 & 26-12-18 4/3.

Only one man of this name was born in Scotland - 1886 at Moffat.
I would expect the details on CWGC to be correct - they were provided by his family, likely his mother who would have known the location.

I did notice the medal card. I managed to find out that his mother was staying with Joseph Brown. I used Libindx for that. It's handy to use for NE info. I like it as it's free.
