Having noticed a resemblance between the statues used on Stromness and Ullapool war memorials I was wondering if anyone can think of other Scottish memorials which use a statue of a woman?
Note: I'm not thinking of winged Victory figures since there are quite a few of them. It is statues of women without wings I am looking for.
Here are three to start the list:
Halkirk War Memorial, Caithness
Stromness War Memorial, Orkney
Ullapool War Memorial, Wester Ross

The Halkirk one you mention above has a text below it specifically referring to the women and children left behind.
gentle peace returning,
Wi' mony a sweet babe fatherless,
And mony a widow mourning
from When Wild War's Deadly Blast Was Blawn by Burns.
