I stumbled across this man and looked him up, unfortunately he seems to have a variety of surnames recorded?!

Name: KIRKADE, ALEXANDER
Rank: Private
Service No: 8664
Date of Death: 02/05/1915
Regiment/Service: Seaforth Highlanders 2nd Bn.
Panel Reference: Panel 38.
Memorial: YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL

CGWC have his him as KIRKADE
Motherwell War Memorial, SNWM & War Return as KINKADE
M.I.C. as KINRADE

Cheers,
Derek.

The Service Return says Alexr. Kinkade, aged 29, died 02-05-1915 or since, death presumed. There is a corresponding birth in Motherwell (Dalziel Parish) on 17-May-1885.

The MIC shows Kinkade.

Am looking into this. It is not a scanning error but might be an original typo. I await Derek sending me the Service Return to check further.
