Here is a touching story about a Dutch lady who has tended the grave of Harold Ewan since he died.

Randal was born in Ireland in 1900 - perhaps reason why not listed on SNWM. The Dunscore WM was unveiled on 27/6/1920 by his mother Mrs. Margaret Johnston and the adress given by his father Brig General Johnston; Randal was youngest man on memorial. Both Randal and his father listed on roll of honour for Dunscore. His roll of honour was kept in Dunscore Church and today in safe keeping with church member - a copy of the 82 men on roll can be found in 'Dunscore WM and Parish Memorial by Gladys Cuttle' His parents owned mansion house Stroguhan Dunscore
during the early 1900's.
