I know we're supposed to stay slightly on topic here, but I hope this is OK to post here.

I'm doing the 10K Great Scottish Run in three weeks with a group of folk from my work, We're doing it for the works nominated charity, Save The Children.

Now, given that some of you know me, you'll be well aware that me and running or indeed exercise don't go hand in hand, so this might be the most idiotic thing I've ever done. However, it's for a good cause.

Here comes the pitch...I'd really appreciate it you could consider sponsoring a few pounds to help me reach my target. Any small amount is much appreciated.

Much obliged.

Good luck. Don't have the wallet to hand but will certainly be donating something tomorrow. A worthy cause and an incentive for Mr McNay to pound the streets!

All the best.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored me. I finished in a not very exciting 1 hour, 40 minutes and 33 seconds - but finishing at all was the goal and I'm very pleased and proud to have managed it.

I say next year a group of us do it and raise money for Erskine...who's up for it?

Right, I'm off to soak in a bath full of herbal stuff....
