Also, there is a Memorial Hall opened 1962.

Situated just outside the Glasgow boundary, in the East Renfrewshire village of Giffnock, and set above Fenwick Road at Church Road, Orchardhill Church was built on a rise above fruit-growing orchards and farmland.... hence the name Orchardhill. www.orchardhill.org.uk

The church has WW1 & WW2 memorial plaques, also a large WW2 Roll of Honour album which lists all the names of the members who served during WW2 plus a photograph of each person.

The WW1 plaque is inscribed as follows:

The list above gives the details of the men who fell in WW2. The list was the one presented to the District Clerk (1st) Renfrewshire, 8/5/54, with a view to adding the names to the Civic War Memorial.

Roll of Honour of all who served in the Second World War

I would like to thank Isabella, Church Officer, for allowing me access to the church.

That list of men submitted is fantastic, and one of them is on my Union Bank of Scotland list.
