In Glasgow Cathedral



"In Affectionate Remembrance of WILLIAM WEST WATSON
Lieut. Colonel 1st Lanarkshire Artillery Volunteers,
Who was Mortally Wounded in the discharge of his duty by the
accidental Exposion of a Shell at Irvine on 6th March 1880,
Born 17th June 1837, Died 7th March 1880,

This memorial is erected by a few of his most intimate and attached friends."
