St Anne's Scottish Episcopal Church, Strathpeffer, Ross shire has a memorial plaque in the altar area of the church wall:

"To the Glory of God and in loving Memory of

JOHN STAMP GARTHORNE BURRELL, MA , Oxon,

1/4 Cheshire Regiment

Killed in action at Sulva Bay 10 August 1915


Erected by his Cousin Helen Finlay ".
