David Inglis is named on Lanark and Kirkfieldbank War Memorials.

His Pension Papers do exist and state that he lived at Kirkfieldbank, Service Number 27205, rank Private, regiment HLI. He was discharged on 10/3/1919 on grounds of disability and died 5/11/1921.

Death Record (Scotland's People) shows he was a House Painter (Army Pensioner) who died at Bellahouston Hospital (residence Kirkfieldbank, Lanark). Died 5/11/1921, aged 33. Cause of Death: Chronic Intestinal Nephritis and Uraemia.
