1st Battalion, Royal Scots, Burma, Second World War, Edinburgh
Location: Driveway to Lauriston Castle, Silverknowes, Edinburgh
OS Ref: NT 203 759
The trees planted along the driveway to Lauriston Castle and a small garden have been created in memory of the Royal Scots who fought in Burma in the Second World War.
The Garden is for all members of the battalion
There is also another memorial in the garden specifically to the Carrier Platoon of the Battalion. The 14 trees from the garden up to the gates of the castle grounds are also to the Carrier Platoon.
