William John McKee died on 29 November 1919 at 239 Forest Street, Airdrie, aged 43 of Carcinoma of liver. Formerly a coal miner he was married to Margaret Paterson.
His discharge papers are on Ancestry Pension Records under William John McKee, Labour Corps 444572. The cause of discharge was myalgia.
He enlisted from the 239 Forest Street, Clarkston, Airdrie in August 1915 in the 14th A&SH and went to France in June 1916.
He was discharged on 18 November 1918.

James Nicol and Daniel Ritchie are listed on Airdrie Civic Memorial.

There is also a William T. McKee listed but I am uncertain that this will be the same William (or James) McKee who died in 1919.

WILLIAM J. McKEE, A. & S. H., November 1919 (known as James McKee?)
The file is quite difficult to read and I doubt there is a direct case for a non-com but perhaps the original diagnosis was connected to his cancer?
