I'm currently putting together a slideshow of images comprising sources for research. I'm short of a couple of images and I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm looking for images of birth and marriage certificates which show some military information - i.e. the father on a birth certificate named as a soldier, or the husband in a marriage certificate having his occupation given as soldier or sailor etc.

Any period in time will suffice, it doesn't have to be First World War.

If you can help, please send me the images to mcnay349@btinternet.com

Thanks,

David

David
On the Cathcart Old Parish Church WW1 Memorial in Glasgow there is
WILLIAM ADAMS _ BOY SCOUTS

His father was a serving soldier. I've sent his death register entry.

My own marriage cert (1972) shows my army rank and corps, my wife's grandfather was married in India (British Forces) and his marriage cert shows his rank and regiment and my wife's birth cert shows her father's rank and corps.

Any of these of use to you?

\Paul
