No...not the sunny one Down Under but the other one!
I discovered this website whilst doing some family research. My Great Uncle, Alexander John Morrison is commemorated on the Dingwall War Memorial
-he was killed in 1917 whilst serving with the Seaforth Highlanders. He is also commemorated in the Tyne Cot cemetery in Belgium sadly one of the many whose body was never found or identified. My husband and I visited there last summer.
I also have a connection to the Forres War Memorial too through my late Father's cousin Alexander Grant Fraser, a piper with the Seaforth Highlanders who was killed in 1944. He is buried in France at Ryes War Cemetery Bazenville. I have some photos I'd like to post if that's of interest?
Looking forward to chatting.
